When to see a doctor for abdominal pain?
My wife had a pain just below his rib cage during about 5 minutes or less. When we were on our way to the door to an emergency room, the pain subsided, accompanied by a sensation of heat in the upper abdomen. She seems fine now, and we have not been able to cause pain when you push on your stomach (for example, I can not imagine appendicitis) If you do not mind if more continue to see a doctor?
Hello dschwar5 It is possible that his wife died of a gallstone. If so, here are some points to consider before you rush to surgery to remove the gallbladder (cholecystectomy – which can happen suddenly, if you're not careful). biliary pain can be intense, but not the gallbladder does not necessarily solve their problems and may in some cases worse. Often, you can go years between attacks (moving small stones through the ducts). If your wife was on oral contraceptives for some time, there is an increased risk of gallstones and inflammatory bowel disease. Interruption of the pill can solve problem. In addition, gallbladder symptoms can be helped by a combination of diet, exercise and supplements. Therefore, like to see the doctor, I would say that there are risks involved in any way.
