How a student in a wheelchair trip to Asia with his American friend? Ideas?
Hello! I am 20 years, Asia has not known to the unlimited life until I met Tif, an American girl brought me out on bicycle tours and a donkey. I've never been without my parents, but would like to do next year. Suggestions? Other issues include: accessibility to bathroom wheelchair accessible, hiking tools, equipment, mobility of lightweight, transportation options, the cost? We have seen Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, China and the Philippines … We do not know too hard for us. Besides, what can we do to find sponsors and people to help? We plan to put together a program of inspiration and both can talk to inspire local people. Please suggest!
I am an American man in good health and I think that moving in most Asian cities, a real challenge not only not handicapped accessible toilets. do not even have bathrooms. There are very few places there is a sidewalk in that we think of a sidewalk. If a sidewalk, there are vendors set up there and people drive trucks on it. The major cities of China does not meet this model. You can move to Beijing, Shenyang, Shenzhen, very well. But public transport is not available. Forget trying to Bangkok or Manila. But if you have enough grain, you can do anything. It really depends on your mentality. Try it and love adventure!
